On Sunday the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund celebrated its centennial by thanking its supporters with a day of inspiring lectures, free concerts, plenty of schmoozing and some really interesting conversations. San Francisco Bay Area Jewish LGBT leaders and our fiercest advocates were involved in much of the planning, speaking and presenting throughout the day.
Here are a few shots of this incredible day:
I am able to connect with hundreds of people I know at FedFest but in this shot taken by my dear colleague Joy Powers I see two of my favorite Bay Area LGBT Jews. Can you see Bevan Dufty talking with Al Baum in the right corner?
Gorgeous! The ultra fabulous Bay Area's own Martin Tannenbaum. A LGBT Jewish leader with the Federation, Congregation Sha'ar Zahav, Jewish Family and Children's Services and Keshet's Newest Board Chair! Photo by Peter Marcus
In partnership with my new favorite people in the community to work with, Be’chol Lashon, the LGBT Alliance presented a conversation titled, How Young Bay Area Jews Juggle Multiple Identities. Sarah K. Spencer, Kenny Kahn, Jamie Wolfe and Dakota Jka were the four young adults that told their stories. Each of these leaders were raised or currently live within an interfaith, multi-racial, lesbian, gay and/or transgender led household. They each spoke about their Jewish identities within the context of our Bay Area Jewish community.
Another great photo by Peter Marcus
Peter Marcus was able to shoot the cellular modernity of our community with Mark Reisbaum and Bevan Dufty in the center of it all

Joy Powers took this great photo of my supervisor Roxanne Cohen in the Development and Outreach Department at Federation with her son Jacob in the kids area.
L'Chaim! Three Cheers! Thank You! Amazing Thanks and Community Cheers to FedFest organizers Ann Gonsky (seen in the center of this photo, taken by Joy Powers, to the left of Bevan Dufty), Susan Mall and Stacy Silver
This woman of valor, Phyllis Cook, helped take the first steps along with Al Baum to ensure that Jewish LGBT people had a place at the table at the Jewish Community Federation and throughout the Jewish community.
Children's Program captured by Peter Marcus. I see a few LGBT identified families and leaders like Dr. Sue Reinhold (in the right corner) in this audience for Jewish Torahtelling
Always a favorite choice of many LGBT families each summer is to attend Keshet Family Weekend at Camp Tawonga. Again this year we have LGBT Jewish family scholarships but at FedFest Camp Tawonga provided a fantastic kids area.
